The pool was nice and well-maintained, perfect for the kids. Check-in took way too long, and our room was not ready on time. The game room had fun options for children. Some amenities felt outdated, and the furniture could use an upgrade.

A spacious room with a backyard and patio made it perfect for our dog, and the hike to the beach was enjoyable. Morning coffee in the lobby was a nice touch, but the hot tub being out of order was disappointing. The staff was kind and check-in went smoothly, though the penthouse we initially booked was quite dirty and needs serious maintenance. While the pool had some issues, the peaceful atmosphere and comfortable bed made up for some shortcomings. I could see potential here; just needs a bit more TLC to truly shine.

Comfortable room, comfortable amenities with a well-stocked mini kitchen for cooking and a fast wifi connection that made it easy to relax and plan my next adventure.
Everything is what I need and want.

The indoor pool and hot tub are a perfect way to unwind after a chilly beach day. The kitchen in our room lets you whip up breakfast, plus the room service from the restaurant is super convenient!
Some of the furniture and mattresses could really use an upgrade.

The game room was fun for the kids and kept them entertained. The room cleanliness could use some improvement, especially the bathroom. Great beach access too.

I arrived at check-in only to be told my room wasn't ready, which was frustrating. When we finally got in, it reeked of stale alcohol, and I found blood on the mattress.

Great free parking and friendly staff. Wi-Fi is too slow.

The close proximity to the beach, just under a kilometer away, allowed for quick walks to catch beautiful sunsets and enjoy some beach combing fun, plus there are several great dining options like Our Place and Kookamaunga's within a short stroll of about 500 meters, making it easy to grab a bite to eat when you’re hungry; the rooms are spacious and clean, and the property has a nice charm to it overall, but it could really use some updating in its facilities.

Spacious rooms with a full kitchen and separate living areas. Friendly staff and plenty of walking trails for the dog.
It cost a bit more than I'd like, but it's still reasonable.

Our suite was huge with stunning views and a fireplace! The staff treated us like family, and the indoor pool was perfect for winter fun.
Can just recommend ❤️😊

I loved how easy it was to get to the beach and the trails, with Weatherwax Trail just about 2.5 km away, and Damon Point being a quick 1 km walk, which made my strolls so enjoyable, plus there are wonderful restaurants like Our Place Restaurant and Sunny Beach Café within a 5-minute walk. The room had all the essentials, including a full kitchen, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. the hotel could improve on its cleanliness in certain areas.

Decent space for families. The one-bedroom suite was perfect for us. Kitchenette was well-stocked, and having separate rooms was a game-changer for naps. Location was convenient, and the staff was friendly. multiple issues are hard to overlook. The facilities need serious updating. Smells of mildew and neglect permeated the hallways and our room. Bathroom fixtures should be replaced; mold around the ceiling and a filthy shower were disappointing. A better handling of customer service issues could prevent prolonged frustrations. There’s potential here, but it requires a commitment to improvement. I hope to see it rise to the standard it once held.

Very comfortable suite with a full kitchen and dishwasher. The separate living room was great for our dog, Poppy. Room was clean, though the carpet had some stains. Nice views, and the fireplace added warmth. Room service from the on-site restaurant was excellent. the hot water was unreliable; both my friend and I experienced cold showers. While there were some maintenance issues like rust in the bathtub and a chill in the room, the accommodating staff and convenient location were appreciated. It felt cozy overall, but cleanliness and upkeep need attention.

Location is fantastic, super close to the beach. The room cleanliness was lacking, especially the shower. Nice games room for kids. Staff were friendly but room maintenance needs attention.

Our room had a kitchenette, perfect for cooking and saving money with kids. Great location, close to the beach, and a garden area to relax. The staff was accommodating.
The room was dirty and outdated, with broken furniture and cold water. Front desk staff had poor customer service, charging guests without explanation and not addressing issues promptly.

The Polynesian Resort boasts a fantastic location close to local attractions, and the upgraded room on the third floor offered a lovely view. I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the room and outdated amenities that detracted from the overall experience.

Location was convenient, close to the ocean despite a bit of a walk. We appreciated the spacious room with a kitchen for making meals. The availability of coffee in the lobby was a nice touch for starting the day with my partner.
The hotel is outdated with some cleanliness issues, like smelly rugs.

The breakfast buffet was a delightful surprise, almost made me forget about the blood on the mattress. Enjoyed watching the sunsets. The pool and hot tub were a nice touch, although the roach in the room added an extra adrenaline rush.
Oh, finding a large roach on my lampshade was just the cherry on top of a perfect stay.

My recent stay at The Polynesian was a mixed bag of experiences. One thing I absolutely loved was the convenience of having a full, sized kitchen in our room. Being a family of four, it was so handy to have that extra space and the ability to cook our meals. Plus, the location of the hotel was great, with easy access to a beach trail right from the property. there were a few things that could have been better. The rooms definitely need some updating , it felt like stepping back into the 1970s with old furniture and worn, out curtains. The linens were thin and had holes in them, which was a bit disappointing. We also had issues with not having enough dishware and having to ask for extra towels, soap, and toilet paper. On the bright side, the staff at The Polynesian were always friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the room service by request as it gave us the flexibility we needed. The lack of AC in the rooms wasn't a big deal thanks to the windows allowing in a nice breeze, and the fans provided helped keep things cool. despite the shortcomings, we had a decent stay and would consider coming back for the value we received. If The Polynesian could invest in some updates and better maintenance, it would truly elevate the guest experience.

The game room was a hit with the kids, and the outdoor private park provided endless fun with basketball, volleyball, and picnic facilities for a perfect family day out. A cozy place to call home after our adventures, we truly unwound in style.
In my wife's opinion, more kid-friendly bathroom amenities could enhance family experiences.

My friends and I had a blast in the game room and outdoor park with sports and BBQs. It was the perfect place to chill after beach adventures and we loved being near all the fun spots.
More late-night activities for young party-goers would make the stay even more exciting.

Enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub, close to stores and restaurants, and easy beach access.
Felt that it is secure, nothing to complain about.

The Polynesian Resort's location was perfect for my visit to Ocean Shores. I was pleasantly surprised by Electric Beach Bike Rentals, which offered the perfect rental for exploring the area. I also enjoyed a delicious meal at Rusty Anchor Grill & Pub without having to leave the property.
Inconsistent staffing and dated decor.

we had a great experience at Polynesian Resort. the room felt more like an apartment, with spacious living and eating areas. we appreciated the proximity to the laundry room and the ease of access. the hotel was clean, pet-friendly, and located in a convenient area. they clearly communicated the changes in pool guidelines. everyone was friendly and helpful. the location also had a nice area for dogs, and my husband enjoyed the morning coffee in the lobby.
Nothing not too like 😊
